Sea Day

Day 27

Another time change last night. High swells and confused seas made the ship pitch just a bit and the creaks came out of hiding. All that made for pleasant sleep.
This morning our Cruise Director came on the PA system and advised us that we were passing the area where the HMS Hood sank during battle with the German pocket battleship Bismark during WWII. Some 1,400 men went down with the Hood; only 3 of the crew survived. The area is now an international war grave area. Our ship, for honoring those who died on the Hood and all those who have perished at sea, gave a ten second blast of the horn.

During the afternoon the sun was out but the confused seas continued. Considering where the ship was, that is not bad,
